Gail has been designing wearable art jewelry for 25 years as an outlet from her full time job with the Ending Violence Association of BC. In her “day job” she works with a team to bring training on intimate partner violence and homicide prevention to communities across the province. Gail believes in the power of collaboration and has trained hundreds of service providers in multi-sector groups who are working to improve the systemic response to violence against women and children.
Gail is a dreamer who mines the “unseen” and imagined for her inspiration. She draws on images from poetry, mythology, astrology, and symbols of the “divine feminine”. She borrows from powerful and important teachings from other cultures and antiquity. With intention, Gail imbues each of her creations with special energy; they are sometimes humorous, sometimes inspirational, but always she hopes the piece will be empowering and fun to wear!
The pieces are one of a kind, created individually from Fine Silver (99.9% silver), polished, patinaed and hardened.
